Monday June 16th
Crab Cakes with Meyer Lemon Relish
Romanesco with green olives and capers.

Once again I have taken these recipes from “The Santa Monica Farmer’s Market Cookbook.”
Crab meat is in season and I always buy it from Santa Monica Seafood.

Tuesday June 17th
Grilled Flank Steak marinated in Soy, Ginger & Garlic
Roasted Beets with oranges and walnuts

The marinade recipe was taken from this month’s “Fine Cooking” magazine

Wednesday June 18th
Fava Bean and dill ‘hummus’
Roast Lamb with cumin and fresh mint
Arugula salad
Warm apricots with orange blossom and pistachios

Dinner made for friends taken from “The Kitchen Diaries” by Nigel Slater. Simple but delicious

Thursday June 19th
Grilled Flatbreads with Lemon-Garlic Oil with Herbs
Grilled Chicken with Apricot-Balsamic Glaze
Potato Salad with Olives, Scallions & Garden Herbs
Green Bean Salad with Tomatoes, Arugula & Basil Dressing
Lemon-Buttermilk Pudding Cakes

A girls dinner for 6. The recipes were taken from July 2008 magazine “Fine Cooking”.

Friday June 20th
Melon, Cucumber & Mint Salad

I took this salad to a summer solstice party. With it we ate ‘beer can chicken’ and pasta. All the dishes were a huge success and complimented one another

Saturday June 21st
Arugula salad in vinaigrette
peach tart and vanilla ice cream

Dinner was provided by Teresa at her house with friends in the garden. The peach tart came from a french bakery on 10th and Pico that is only open until 11am with authentic baked goods. A new place to explore.

Sunday June 22nd
Fried chicken tenders
Coleslaw in a vinaigrette
